Hardening in protective atmosphere
At HTS BB we provide hardening exclusively within an oil protective atmosphere. Hardening within a protective atmosphere prevents reactions at high temperatures between the hardened component and the atmosphere. This prevents the formation of surface decarburization and scaling.
We can offer hardening in protective atmosphere in four multi-chamber furnaces. These devices are also used for cementation and nitrocementing. Components can be immediately tarnished with or without oil quenching by slow chilling in a protective atmosphere
